AQI - Air Quality Index

Monitor Your Local Air Quality Conditions

What Is It

The AQI is a tool to monitor your current air quality conditions, and to know when air pollution is reaching harmful levels. Public health agencies encourage us to use the AQI to guide our daily outdoor activities. Reducing outdoor activities during wildfire smoke events is a key step to preventing adverse health outcomes.

What It Does

The AQI is built on a scale from 0-500. There are six distinct levels which corresponds to health hazards. For example, at the orange level, adverse health effects can occur among "sensitive" groups. Yet even at low levels of air pollution, all individuals can be at some degree of health risk.
